Life of Christ

Christ represents the culmination of the Biblical promises, he provides a model for how humanity was supposed to be, and His sacrifice opens the door for a relationship between God and man.  This study surveys the major events in the life of Christ, especially as seen through the book of Matthew.  Hopefully, this series will deepen one's knowledge of and relationship with Jesus--God with us.

09 JONAH.jpg

Jonah

Unfortunately, Jonah's familiarity obscures its profound message.  It is not a book about a fish or Nineveh, or even about Jonah.  It is a book about Jonah coming to terms with a God who is both loving and just.  Through a series of comparisons, Jonah's faith is contrasted with pagans and animals in order to teach us what the God of heaven and earth is like.
SILENCE.jpg

Silence

Silence is a couple of sermons preached when Pastor Christian waited on God for the next sermon series.  Silence and waiting on God is a normal part of the Christian life that should be understood and a skill that should be developed.
JAMES03.jpg

James

This series explores James's perspective on how to live the mature Christian life.  God is calling us to something beyond mere conversion to be "conformed to the image of His son" and James outlines a part of what that looks like.  James, in fact, builds on the thought of Paul to move his audience, and us, towards Christ-likeness.

Surprise!

Most of us have celebrated Easter for so long, we may have lost the sense of surprise which the disciples experienced.  These sermons are designed to recapture how those who witnessed the death and resurrection of Christ would have experienced it.

The Great Adventure

Roots and Branches

As a tree reaches into the ground for nutrients and up towards the light, so we as Christians Dig into God's Word and reach up towards God in worship.  This is a series based on the book Roots and Branches that seeks to provide a foundation for the Christian faith by covering the basics.  However, just because something is basic to the Christian life doesn't mean it is easy to understand.
